Many of you already know that Jermaine Rogers has relocated from Colorado to New York. Shortly before he left, he granted NOWhere Limited unprecedented access to his archives. Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity and Mr. Rogers left Colorado with a lighter load than he anticipated.

Our good fortune is now yours as this Thursday, August 19th we will be offering some of the spoils of this bounty. There are signed, numbered, doodled and otherwise defaced art prints as well as prints from the past from some of Jermaine’s biggest clients including Ween, TOOL, the Deftones, Morrissey, Rage Against the Machine and more. ABOUT THE PRINT:
Scott’s Profondo Giallo project began as an obsession with movies, particularly those from the Italian pulp/horror film genre, known as Giallo. The artist used a computer program to capture more than 20,000 individual frames from a vast assortment of movies on DVD. He then digitally combined and altered selected “stills” to form collaged images. Many of the Profondo Giallo images have previously been produced as prints and as purely digital art. For the latest version of the project, the artist rendered the digital mash-ups in paint, adding another layer of strangeness to these striking compositions. The original acrylic on vinyl painting is available, details upon request.

Legend has it that secret tunnels under the nearby Green Mill bar, a Prohibition-era hangout of Al Capone, lead to the Aragon’s basement. Hence… The Boognish-Capone! The NOWhere Limited edition of this print is a four color serigraph on gold pearlescent paper in a tiny edition of only 30. It’s a signed and numbered limited edition of only 30 and is available exclusively through NOWhere Limited.

ABOUT THE PRINTS:
Jermaine Rogers has recently been asked by the super-group Them Crooked Vultures (which includes talent from the bands Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age and The Foo Fighters) to create a suite of artwork featuring the band. Them Crooked Vultures (Chicago) and (Indianapolis) on yellow stock were printed exclusively for NOWhere Limited and are the latest editions in this ongoing, popular series.

The Chicago piece sports amazing pastel shades and a brilliant color fade emphasized by the yellow paper. According to Jermaine: “The imagery is a riff on the classic Zeppelin ‘Swan Song’ label icon. The original ‘Swan Song’ label image is not original at all, actually. William Rimmer was an obscure American painter, who created an image in 1870 entitled ‘Evening’ or the ‘Fall of Day.’ It depicted the god Apollo (though some like to think of the being as Icarus, or a fallen angel.) This picture was adopted by Led Zeppelin as the “Swan Song” logo and appears on many releases.” For the Chicago piece, Jermaine re-imagined this figure as a tragically fallen, and very crooked, vulture.

The theme of the Indianapolis piece “offers excellent advice from Uncle Jermaine for all those kiddies who so desperately want to see a TCV show,” says the artist. Josh Homme (of TCV and QOTSA) adds, this image is “absolutely supreme… like an after school special, it helps and educates.” We love the way the yellow paper shows through the kid’s eyes on this version of the print!

Each of the two editions being offered this Friday are from a limited edition of only 30 copies, signed and numbered by Jermaine Rogers. The Chicago edition measures 22.5 x 30 inches; Indianapolis is 18 x 24.75 inches. Both are screen printed with beautiful archival ink on yellow gallery stock paper and are available exclusively through NOWhere Limited’s web site.
