Amy Stein - Untitled Frog

“New American Fables”, a solo exhibition from Amy Stein opens June 12th at the Robert Koch Gallery in San Francisco. The large scale photographs to be displayed are from two bodies of the photographers work.
“Untitled (Frog)”, shown above is an example from the series “Halloween in Harlem” in which brightly costumed children are juxtaposed against the gritty urban environment of NYC.
The photograph pictured below is from the “Domesticated” series. “Watering Hole” contains the essence of this work that strives to place animals in coexistence with the sprawl that is suburbia.
