Anish Kapoor, arguably the best living sculptor on the planet, is having a retrospective of sorts at the ICA in Boston. Fourteen works created over the past three decades will be on view at the exhibition. “Past Present Future” marks the first U.S. museum survey of Kapoor’s work in more than 15 years. Putting on an exhibition of work from Anish Kapoor is no easy task. If it weren’t for the monumental scale of the sculpture we’d be seeing his work in a different museum every season.
At least everyone can enjoy his public work. Just ask the people in Chicago, they call it the bean, everywhere else it is known as “Cloud Gate”.
