TITLE: Grenade Thrower Army Man “Black”
ARTIST: Frank Kozik
EDITION: 50
MEDIUM: Vinyl
SIZE: 17 inches tall (approximate)
PRICE: $200 USD + shipping
ABOUT THE PIECE:
Your favorite tiny army man in jumbo size. Also included are interchangeable empty hand and hand with a grenade. This colorway, “Black,” was produced in a limited edition of 50.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Frank Kozik moved to Austin, Texas as a teenager. His avid enthusiasm for the underground bands of that city led him to create rock posters and album covers. He produced over 3500 designs for the ‘music scene’ in the ’80s and ’90s. Kozik also founded the recording label Man’s Ruin Record in 1995, which had almost 200 releases during its 5-year run. Born in Madrid in 1962, today he lives and works in San Francisco, CA. “Up until now, it seems ‘underground art and design’ has been like a 2-d or acoustical thing. Now it’s 3-d. That’s amazing. The fact that EVERYONE I show the toys to, from all these scattered ‘scenes,’ likes them seems important. It’s a unifying form. I like that.” – Frank Kozik

Beacon, Scott Lickstein, 6 Color Serigraph on 100 lb. Cougar cover stock, 23 x 17 inches, signed and numbered edition of 10, 2018, $75 USD plus shipping.
ARTIST: Scott Lickstein
MEDIUM: 6 Color Serigraph on 100 lb. Cougar cover stock
SIZE: 23 x 17 inches (approximate)
S/N EDITION: 10
PRICE: $75 USD
ABOUT THE PRINT:
Beacon was made from 6 screens and was printed as an edition of 10 signed and numbered prints, exclusively available at NOWhere Limited.
A second “defaced” edition, a 9 color print, is also available in an edition of only 5.
The imagery for this print was initially realized as a 9 foot mural in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. With a few touch-ups, the painting lasted for 3 years before succumbing to the hasty tags of the graffiti writer. Here is what Scott has to say about the genesis of this print project.
“I really like what happened with the mural. The decay started slow, a small namedrop on the shoulder, then the tie took a hit and eventually a headshot of large bubble letters. Since then it’s been one tag covering another and the war has returned this wall to the streets. I was happy for the long run but wanted something permanent to recall the mural and so that’s how the screen print came about.”
Scott has a new studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn that is set up for silkscreen printing and these are the first editions.
“I love the physical process of ‘pulling’ prints. It’s a fantastic feeling watching an idea come to life, one color at a time,” says the artist. “When I go into the studio, it’s always a marathon session. I emerge with a broad smile and freshly inked smudges on my clothing. In the near term, I’ll be producing my own work, but eventually, I’d like to collaborate with other artists to bring their visions to a wider audience.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Scott Lickstein is an artist, curator, and filmmaker who lives and works in New York City. He was an early art influencer on the internet and is responsible for the co-creation of one of the very first online galleries. Over the past two decades, he has curated more than one hundred art exhibitions serving both digital and physical spaces. During that time he has also published more than five hundred articles on the subject of contemporary art. He now exhibits his artwork regularly at a variety of venues in New York City.

Deer in the Headlights, Aaron Johnson, 27 Color Serigraph on Coventry Rag 290gsm, 21.75 x 21.75 inches, signed and numbered edition of 75, 2016, $450 USD plus shipping.
ARTIST: Aaron Johnson
MEDIUM: 27 Color Serigraph on Coventry Rag 290gsm
SIZE: 21.75 x 21.75 inches
S/N EDITION: 75
PRICE: $450 USD
ABOUT THE PRINT:
Deer in the Headlights: a Romantic American Tragedy in a Pickup Truck. This scene captures lovers in one last kiss before death, the road kill death of a big buck, the shimmering shatter of windshield, the American idyll of the country road snaking a sublime Wild West landscape, and the release of a swarm of spirits into the infinite starry cosmos. I prepped templates for this print by painting on layers of clear mylar, keeping every color isolated for translation into silk screen. This method is akin to my reverse painting process, so the methodology flowed organically from my studio to the Kayrock studio. This 27 color silk screen print is nothing short of a feat of wizardry, masterfully executed by the printmakers at Kayrock out of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. – Aaron Johnson

His work has been included in museum exhibitions at The Museum of Modern Art, Mass MoCA, The Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, The Knoxville Museum of Contemporary Art, and The Katzen Center at American University. Lil Wayne, Tom Sanford, archival pigment print, approx. 22 x 17 inches,
signed and numbered edition of 100, 2016, $100 USD plus shipping .
NOWhere Limited is pleased to announce the exclusive release of a new, signed and numbered archival pigment print edition by Tom Sanford: Lil Wayne
ABOUT THE PRINT:
This high resolution archival pigment print measures approximately 22 x 17 inches. The signed and numbered edition of 10 is printed on acid free paper and is priced at $100 USD per copy, plus shipping. A printer’s proof edition is also available: here It is limited to just 10 copies and is priced at $250 USD.
ABOUT THE IMAGE:
About this piece, Tom says:
I made this painting of Lil Wayne back in 2009, the same year Adam Bhala Lough released his documentary “The Carter.” Now, seven years later, my painting is being used as the cover art for the internet re-release of the film and so we thought this would be a wonderful reason to issue a print of the painting.
The painting is one that I find particularly successful in a technical sense. Inspired by Otto Dix’s 1913 self portrait of the young artist smoking, I hoped to engender a similar expressionistic pathos by juxtaposing a finely painted portrait of Dwayne Carter with a much more expressionistic style in painting the pot smoke coming out of his mouth, gooey and thick with oily medium.
When Bhala approached me about using this image for the re-release of “The Carter” I was incredibly flattered. His film is a powerful documentation of Lil Wayne’s surrealist-like artistic process and his alienation as he descends into a drug induced isolation. Adam’s documentary perfectly captured my ambivalent feelings about this fascinating artist’s life and work. I love the painting I made, but his documentary is a masterpiece and I am thrilled to have this association with “The Carter.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Tom Sanford is a New York-based artist whose work is exhibited around the world. His paintings, which range from historical works depicting celebrity assassinations to portraits of gangsta rappers and teen pop tarts to elaborate cosmologies weaved together from Hollywood movies, reflect a deep ambivalence about the American cultural condition.

NOWhere Limited – Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the exclusive release of a new, archival print edition by Joseph Meloy: The Cardsharps (Caravaggio). Each signed and numbered piece comes with an assorted pack of stickers and a button featuring Meloy’s creation: “The Primate.”
ABOUT THE PRINT & STICKERS:
This edition, printed with high resolution archival pigments on heavyweight acid-fee 100% cotton paper, measures approximately 5 x 7 inches. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and is priced at $25 USD per copy, plus shipping. With each print, the collector receives an assorted pack of stickers and a button produced by the artist. A printer’s proof edition is also available. It is limited to just 2 copies and is priced at $35 USD, plus shipping, each. ***UPDATE*** The proofs are SOLD OUT.
ABOUT THE IMAGERY:
This image is part of an ongoing series of fine art parody pieces Meloy has been working on for the past few years, and refers to the famous post-Renaissance painting by Caravaggio. Meloy’s version stars his iconic character The Primate, as described below…
The Primate is New York City’s omnipresent street creature. Originally conjured up in 2012, over the past few years, The Primate has evolved into an autonomous, sentient being, and is always there to greet you in public bathrooms, pizzerias, and sticker spots across the globe. (IG: @theprimatenyc)
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Joseph Meloy is a visual artist born and raised in New York City. Working in a style he coined “Vandal Expressionism”, his particular brand of post-graffiti abstraction draws heavily from AbEx, art brut, surrealism, cave painting and pop art, invoking primal elements of graffiti and the iconography of damage and intrusion from street art to turn the calligraphic scribbles of the street into a medium for artistic divination. Unencumbered by distinctions between the abstract and the figurative, his work delves into the impulses of the subconscious, transcribing them spontaneously onto canvas, paper and wall in an otherworldly yet distinctly urban visual language.

Ship of Fools, Aaron Johnson, archival pigment print, approx. 17 x 20.25 inches,
signed and numbered edition of 10, 2016.
NOWhere Limited is pleased to announce the exclusive release of a new, signed and numbered archival pigment print edition by Aaron Johnson: Ship of Fools
ABOUT THE PRINT:
Originally realized as a painting in acrylic on polymer knit mesh, Ship of Fools is now available as a limited edition print. This high resolution archival pigment print measures approximately 17 x 20.25 inches. The artist’s signed and numbered edition of 10 is printed on acid free paper and is priced at $150 USD per copy, plus shipping. A printer’s proof edition is also available. It is limited to just 2 copies and is priced at $350 USD. (UPDATE: The printer’s proofs are SOLD OUT).
Aaron talks about this piece:
The Ship of Fools is a classical allegory, and a theme that can be found in works by Heironymus Bosch, Dürer, and countless others. The allegory depicts a vessel taken over by force by those who are deranged, frivolous, or oblivious, and seemingly ignorant of their course. This print edition derives from one of my personal favorite paintings I’ve made in the past several years. The Ship of Fools theme resonated with me in relationship to the chaotic, confusing, and tumultuous times in which we are living. The contemporary human condition can seem like we are lost at sea, an overcrowded boat full of drooling fiends and hideous monsters, sailing towards our self-inflected doom. On the same token though, it’s a hell of a ride, full of joy, beauty, and laughter. – Aaron Johnson
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Aaron Johnson is a painter based in Brooklyn, NY. His reverse-painted acrylic-polymer-peel paintings inhabit the realms between the erotic-catastrophic/ecstatic-psychotic/comic-tragic, fusing diverse painting vocabularies into his own distinctive breed of Americana-grotesque, all rendered obsessively with tender brutality. Roberta Smith in The New York Times describes his works as visceral, beautiful and flamboyantly timely, which is saying a lot. Johnson received his MFA from Hunter College, NY in 2005. His work has been exhibited internationally at such venues as Stux Gallery, New York; Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, NY; Gallery Poulsen, Copenhagen; Gallery Brandstrup, Oslo; The Running Horse Contemporary Art Space, Beirut; and Kunsthalle Exnergrasse (Vienna). Johnson’s exhibitions have been reviewed in many publications including Modern Painters, Art News, Beautiful Decay, Kunst International, The Village Voice, and The New York Times. In 2007 he was awarded a Space Program grant from The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation, and is MacDowell Colony Fellow for 2012. His work is in the permanent collections of The Weisman Foundation and The Museum of Modern Art.
