The latest versions of the iCoda project were released this February. Four international artists created content for this exciting interactive audio visual app, including Elisha Sarti, co-founder of NOWhere Limited.

The iCoda software creates an ever-changing collage of images from an included library randomly mixed and displayed on a device’s screen in reaction to amplitude and duration of audio from either an external source or a preset soundtrack. It is available from iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone and iPad.

Newcastle, England based multidisciplinary artist Peter McAdam developed the iCoda. The concept is an extension of his “moving palimpsest” idea, a theme he’s explored with video, sound and other media since a flood damaged his childhood photos and inspired an aesthetic of image layering.
