Breaking the Barrier
Kimchi and Chips is a Seoul-based design studio known for producing unique 3D projects, installations and curated light sculptures. Currently we’re loving their newest project, Light Barrier; this light installation creates floating graphic objects using millions of light beams and puffs of fog. Kimchi and Chips say they are fascinated by and use light almost in the way of impressionistic painters—computer code are their brush strokes, filling their unconventional canvases with light of a new kind.
Light Barrier premiered at New Media Night Festival at Nikola-Lenivets in June 2014.
