Here is what the artist says about this image: “Since we moved to New York I have become preoccupied with the city and its artists, future and past. The original drawing for this piece is based on a polaroid that Andy Warhol took of Jean-Michel Basquiat. ‘The Sprinter’ is a meditation on burning out too fast.”
